ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHTS

Andrew Robertson and Dan Ondang began their writing careers at ages 3 and 21. They separately began their first work The Alphabet shortly after learning to write, for those of you unfamiliar, it goes " A B C D E" and remains unfinished to this day. Following that, they teamed up to write Fearghal and Fionnbharr's Super-Spectacular Extravaganzathon in 3D (also, Ted), a play that would go on to delight tens of people across the globe. They are very proud to present their sophomore work Allen's Nine Murders, a story about selling people life. Both are graduates of Thompson Rivers University, being veterans of the Actors Workshop Theatre and TRUDAT.

ABOUT THE NEW PLAY SERIES
With a commitment to the development of new Canadian plays, Chimera Theatre’s New Play Series will be presenting plays-in-progress by new and emerging playwrights. The selected playwrights will be provided with a chance to workshop their script with actors and a director, and have their play presented in a staged reading. This means an opportunity for playwrights to write, rewrite, experiment, and expand their work while providing audiences with a thrilling and intimate night of theatre.

Now in its second year, the New Play Series will present two newly crafted and workshopped script by local playwrights. After the staged reading of each script, there will be a talk back session with the playwright, actors, and director about the script and the staged reading.
