April 2nd, 2017 | 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
#40 - Northills Centre Mall | 700 Fortune Drive, Kamloops
Come learn from Kamloops professionals about the dos and don'ts when it comes to auditioning for theatre!
This workshop will be led by two of Kamloops' top theatre professionals. Heather Cant, Associate Artistic Director of Western Canada Theatre, and Melissa Thomas, Artistic Director of Project X Theatre Production, will be joining together to teach about auditioning in today's theatre world. You'll enjoy insightful perspective from both sides of the casting table as well as careful instruction that will enable you to properly prepare for you next big audition. The workshop will conclude with a mock audition for each actor and the instructors will provide individual feedback for each participant.
Those registered will be asked to bring in two contrasting one to two minute contemporary monologues to be reviewed and critiqued by the instructors. Whether or not both monologues are requested is subject to time constraints due to the number of registered participants.
This hands-on three hour long workshop is suitable for performers of all ability levels. The workshop is open to ages 14 and up and costs $50 per participant.
